Problems with ext 14 and ext 18 1

I have a Partner ACS R3.0 that has a few problems on two extensions.
Firstly ext 14 can make calls but when you transfer a call to that extension it doesn't ring. Is the a Forced Account Code issue or something?
Secondly, ext 18 is completely dead. Is this a "dead" port or once again has someone screwed around with programming.
This site is a motel case, so i need to solve that problem but is it possible to lock the extension from being messed with? And can the extensions be renamed so as to match the room numbers? i.e. Room 1 = Ext 1, etc.

For ext. 14, first check to make sure that DND is not turned on at that extension. For ext. 18, if it's not powering on the phone at all, then it is probably a "dead" port, but make sure you plug the phone directly into the port on the module (bypassing the wall wiring) first.

Given that the processor is an R3, if x18 is found to be dead, this might be a good time to upgrade to an R6, R8 or IP Office.

Thank you for the response. To Dexman, I would like to upgrade to a R8 but the client is .... how shall we say this..... well not that he is cheap but he will pinch a nickel til the beaver craps, and if you live in Canada you will quickly understand the reference. If you are in the US then make the reference to whom ever is on the American nickel. lol

I'm from the US...Massachusetts. We squeeze nickels, pinch pennies and won't allow dimes to "march" past us.

The thing about older Partner equipment is that ports tend to become noisy as capacitors age. I suppose that the existing unit can be flashed up to R6.

I installed another 308EC card into the shelf for future issues that may occur on the processor and original 308EC. It is a small motel solution.
