Hi guys,

firstly i have to excuse for my bad english.

I have written a awk-program for calculating some functions. My problem is that if i would multiplying or divideing two floatingpoint numbers the result frequently is like an enteger.

I have discovered that if i just write out a number, for example 2,875, in a text file there just stay 2.

Beaucause that i have read the awk-manual and saw that one should use exponetial format. So now the result is perfect if i write out this in the file. But if i am calculating some numbers in the file the result is wrong again.

If you could give me a good tip about number formats i would be very happy!

For running akw i am useing awk.exe with windwos xp.

Pleas help me....
Thanks and out.
