problems with downloading files

I have a friend (hey, it's TRUE!) He's using aol. I tried to download some mp3 files and a word file from sites for him. Using the aol broswer, no joy, with IE I could get as far as opening the doc and mp3 files (it buffered, rather then really downloading).

How can I get a genuine download rather than have IE attempt to open the file over the net (which isn't what he wants).

Hey,

Don't double click on the d/l-link but rightclick on it, then select save as.. Then you can select a folder to save your file in...
