So, for months I've been having an intermittent problem with Safari but recently it's become continuous. Any ideas?
Here's the scenario:
PB running 10.3.5, moves between home and work every day. No problems with DNS from home.
At work, when browsing with Safari, if I have not visited a site in several hours, the first time I try to visit it Safari will sit for a considerable length of time (30 seconds or more) and then report that the host could not be found - but if I reload the page it immediately loads fine.
From terminal, using the host command to find arbitrary web sites always works. Visiting a site with Safari after finding it with the host command always works.
I'm guessing that DNS at work is slow enough to cause time outs, but I can't find anyway to tweak the time out settings for Safari. Any ideas?
