maybe it's a stupid question (i don't know), but i got a problem with my catalyst 1900 switch (i know, ít's a old one).

i've one switch, 1 router (1605R) and a pc. Now i'm connecting my router to the switch and it's working fine. I can see the router with the 'sh cdp neigbor'-command on the switch....

but know my problem: i'm trying to connect my pc to the switch, but with the 'sh cdp neigbor'-command i can't see that stupid pc.

When i'm checking the mac-address-table in the switch, then you can see my pc...i don't know if it's correct, but it looks strange to me.....

can somebody pleaaassee help me..

Hi

CDP is a Cisco routine, and it can only see/talk to other cisco products. Ping or trace should see the PC from the router console.
