Hey Everyone,
I just purchased a new case and a DVD Writer, the Pioneer DVR-108 more specifically. I also have an older LG 16x DVD-ROM.

After transferring everything over, I went to start up the system, and everything appeared to be going fine...until the Windows login screen pops up and then all of a sudden, my system reboots. No matter how I set it up, the system will only run with ONE drive installed. It won't work with both.

My previous setup also included 2 cd-rom devices; A Panasonic 24x CD-RW and the LG DVD-ROM. I replaced the Panasonic drive with the Pioneer. My previous setup never caused any problems.

I believe that my power supply may not be able to handle the demands of my processor/mobo(athlon xp 2500+/gigabyte ga7n400-L1), vid card(9800pro), sound card(sb live), 2 cd rom drives(dvd-rw, dvd-rom), hdd(maxtor 80gb), 3 system fans and 2 led's.

Presently, I have an Enermax 350W PSU installed. Perhaps the new dvd-rw, 3 new fans and 2 leds that came with the case pushed the psu over the top?

I don't want to have to spend the extra dough unless i have to, and I just wanted to see what you guys thought before I did anything...

Thanks in Advance.

Check the documentation, I've seen drives that required to be on the same cable as the other drive. I've seen others that WON"T work if on the same cable - most don't care, but I'd check (and maybe move the drives around). You do have master/slave jumpers set correct?
