Problems with Browser using Dreamweaver

Hi all,

I have been using Dreamweaver 3 to design a professional site, however I
have come across a problem with my browser (explorer 5.5). When I construct
a web page including several frames I save all individual frames including
the frameset, I am unable to view my web page displaying all several frames
with my browser.

I have checked all my files and the website directory, and I am able to view
the web individual pages, that make up the frameset, but when I try to view
the frameset with all several frames together, the browser fails to show any
WebPages.

I have tried opening the same document in Netscape and was successful, but
unfortunately I require the website design to be viewed by explorer users!

Sounds like the Frameset wasn't saved correctly, or the code was changed. When you open the Frameset page in a browser it should call the pages without a problem. Check out this site and see if you can view it correctly

Hello kitt25!

I love DW but working with frames drove me mad sometimes. Now I'm OK with it.
When I work with frames I always do next:
1) set DW to show Frame Borders (View > Visual Aids > Frame Borders (it's in DW 4, don't remember in DW 3);
2) open Frames window (Window > Frames);
3) open Properties window (Window > Property).

And using ALL this features I now perfectly work with frames!

Working with frameset file, when you want to edit some particular frame click on it and work with it; when you want to edit whole frameset select Frame Borders and you'll be editing frameset.

I have experienced tha same problem as well - I can view individual pages in the browser, but in the frameset they don't show.

If you solve it let me know!

I had the same problem until we upgraded the computer, which meant re-installing windows.
The problem solved itself.
However, before hand I got the preview as pages couldn't be found and with visable scroll bars etc. refreashing, only got rid of the scroll bars but still no page shows.
also, on the bottom bar showed "windows DHCLL windows system error".
Don't try and solve it, re-install windows.

What are you talking about? re-installing windows? Greate! I would suggest buying a new PC or Mac.

I'm sure that your frames are not showing only because you are not rightly work with them in DW. To be honestly, working with frames is a bit complicated in DW, however if you do it in correct way everything works perfectly. If you don't agree - give a code where it doesn't.
