Any advice welcome.

I'm have problems when sending attachments to non lotus platforms. IE. If I send a powerpoint file to and exchange server - although they receive it (test.ppt), their powerpoint reports it as not a powerpoint file. All this yet they are running exactly the same version of PPt as me. Same thing happens with WORD. I've even zipped the file, and their zip says there's an error with the file. The only common ground is this only happens when I send to anyone with exchange / outlook. Lots of different file have been sent, all with the same results.

Im running 4.6.7 on NT

If I send the same file out from outlook, it works, so it's not the file, must be a configuration within lotes. Help !

Thanks in advance.

Problem:
A customer running Domino 4.6x server notices that some Internet messages with text attachments show up in the Notes body field as garbage instead of as an attachment. It appears that these messages were sent from a POP3 client, such as Eudora, Outlook or Netscape. Other attachments, like Microsoft Word or Excel documents, appear correctly in Notes.

With the 1.1 version of the SMTP MTA running on a Domino 4.5x server, the following NOTES.INI parameter was used to work around this issue:

smtpmta_inline_text_attachments=1

The purpose of this parameter is to prevent UNK attachments from being produced.
