Hi, I have one clien who has problems with the attachment recognition within his mail client in Notes 6.5 and 7. If an email is sent to him, it shows up as an unrecognised file type. Not sure whats going on here.
Have the client right-click on the attachment instead of double-clicking on it. When he right-clicks he will have the option to "open with", and can then choose the proper application to open the attachment.
I am having a similar issue, if not the same. Some of my users attachments are changing when they forward emails that contain attachments. The filenames are changing to 8 character capital letter and number strings with no file extension. The client version is Notes 6.5.5 and the operating systems are a mixture of Windows 2000/XP.
