Problems with Arcserve jobs handling tape drives.

I'm running Arcserve2000 on Windows2000 using a four drive Dell powervault 130t. Once 3 drives are in use the arcserve job appears to be unable to use the 4th to write data to the tape, its just seems to continually re-label any blank media in the library until another drive becomes available, then the job continues as normal!!!.

Has anyone else out there experienced any similar problems, or have any useful solutions.

Make sure the drive is in a different group to the others, if your runing multiple jobs to multiple drives then you should have each drive in a different group. As such you must select the option to use any group available in the destination tab/screen within arcserve.

If you have tried this and still have problems, I suggest you check the device group configuration and as a last resort, reinstall TLO and reconfigure.
