Hi Maxer,

Depending on how you are doing your backups for exchange will determine if your files are being saved correctly. First, are you performing an Online Backup (with the Arcserve Exchange Agent) or an offline backup? The offline backup you need to ensure all exchange services are stopped before you can properly backup the database.

The other thing you need to ensure is that you are using the corrent account to backup your exchange database. You need to have an account with the proper exchange administrative privledges to do this. Usually most people will just use the exchange administrator account to do this, however, I recommend a separate Arcserve dedicated account (in case of a. account lockout).

Also, there is a good tech reference article on Exchange Backups for Arcserve 6.6x (which you can use as a baseline):

Let me know some further details on your configuration and I'll see if I can help you further.

Thanks,
