I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY AA NOT PICKING UP INCOMING CALLS SOMETIMES, I HAVE 24 ANALOG LINES THAT HAVE A TOLL FREE NUMBER ASSIGNED TO THEM IN ROLLOVER,AND A PRI, I'VE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO WHEN WE UPGRADED OUR MICS XC 5.0 TO MICS XC 6.1, VOICEMAIL NAM TO 4.1.05 AND ACD CINPHONY I TO ACD CINPHONY II. IT DOES THIS ONLY SOMETIMES FOR PERIODS OF 5 TO 10 MINUTES, AND NO MATTER WHAT LINE YOU CALLED IT WONT PICK UP IT WILL JUST KEEP RINGING AND RINGING , EVEN DURING TIMES WHEN THERE ARE NO INCOMING CALLS. SO I WAS WONDERING IF ANY BODY OUT THERE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE, OR IF THERE IS MAINTANCE RELEASE FOR THIS, OR IF MY NAM VOICEMAIL IS ACTUALLY HAVING SOME HARDWARE PROBLEMS.

NOTE: I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCED TIMES IN WHICH THE VOICEMAIL WILL STOP FUNCTIONING, MEANING YOU CANT ACCESS FEATURE 981, 980, 983 FOR PERIODS OF ALSO 5 TO 10 MINUTES.

Do you know if the calls are comming in om the PRI or copper? Because there were T1/PRI issues with the first 6.1. There is an MR RLS since then someone said 6.10 or something.

most calls are coming in through copper lines, we 24 analog lines that have a toll free number assigned to them
in a rollover sequence. So this is were most calls are coming in.

Is it possible the voice mail is busy with people listening to messages. How many ports are enabled on the NAM?

Did you do a NAM 4.1 upgrade and line renumber ?
Are you running Co-resident with ACD/VM on the NAM ?
Special handeling is required for PRI with Cinphony ACD.
What about your voice channel allocation for ACD / VM.

Telemarv,
on the NAM there are 10 channels available. I am not sure if all the channesl are busy with people listening to there messages, the problem is that when i would do a feature 981,980,983 sometimes it would say i believe feature unavailable, and i would never get a norstar busy signal when all channels are busy.

fletcherP,

Did you do a NAM 4.1 upgrade and line renumber ? NO ONLY UPGRADE

Are you running Co-resident with ACD/VM on the NAM ? YES

What about your voice channel allocation for ACD / VM.? THERE ARE 10 CHANNELS, AS FAR AS ALLOCATION, ALL I KNOW IS THERE ARE ONLY FOR THE VOICEMAIL

QUESTION: ARE THE CHANNELS USED FOR ALL ACD,VOICEMAIL, AA
BECAUSE I TAUGHT THAT THE CHANNELS WERE ONLY FOR ACCESSING THE VOICEMAIL.

you wont get a busy signal it will say busy.and if you are ffront ending the nam with aa for 24 copper lines plus 23 channels o pri that could go to a users mbox plus users accessing there vm you are prob maxed out on ports remember only 10 paths in at 1 time

ONLY 7 WEEKS TILL SKI SEASON STARTS

Do you have your backup phone plugged in and do you have at least 8 itcms programmed on the set, if you don't have enough programmed then you will get busy on T1 and PRI.

The feature unavailable is a sign that you may have a cross link file problem on the ACD/NAM coresident system. Nortel no longer sells or supports the combining of ACD/VM. The system will, if this is the problem, get to a point that you will no longer be able to log in to the VM part of the NAM. The ACD portion will continue to work most of the time.
I hope that you have a good backup of both systems(ACD/VM).

P.S.: Rebooting the system only makes the cross link problems worse.
