Problems with 123R 9.5 Installation on Win2000

I have tried every option to get Lotus Millenium to install on a fresh Win2000 Dell laptop. This CD installed fine on my desktop dell running Win2000

I get the following error:

Error initializing the copylist: 9
INITCOPYLIST: You need to have suit section with SUITTOP in INF file

I have looked at the installation setup file and there is not keyword SUITTOP

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

have you installed office 2k prior to installing lotus? this happens to me quite often... the fix is to copy the install cd for lotus onto your hard drive, dump all your temp files, reboot, and install from the copied files locally. works for me most of the time...

if it doesn't, try installing lotus in safe mode from the copied files.

abitually you can install it if you have only the original Administrator user for WIN 2000 and you'll be able to use the approach only for this profile.
In my experience this was the only problem but after this I've installed the 9.7 version that I'm sure is WIN 2000 tested.
