Is it possible to set up the default configuration on a machine that uses DHCP ?

If yes, I have configured using settings described below:

* WebSphere MQ will create a queue manager on this computer called - QM_my_computer_name
* Allow remote administration of this queue manager: Allowed
* WebSphere MQ can optionally join the queue manager to the default cluster. 'DEFAULT_CLUSTER' will hold the repository for it
* Is there any other computer with a fixed IP address that can be used to hold the repository ? No
* Repository location : my_computer_name

Then I get the message "Setting up the default configuration..."

After sometime - I get the error message
-----------------------------------------
Unable to set up the default configuration (AMQ4203)
Please help!

Cheers / aR

You should have some errors or FD files created in mqseries\errors. Verify them and post the Ffsts to assess further.

As an aside, you can just ignore that auto-config stuff and create a qm yourself for your own purposes.
