Hello all, hopefully someone can make sense of this because it's driving me batty ;-)

We have a secretary who is screening calls for a VP. The calls are coming directly to the VP's phone and set to show on the secretary's phone as brdg-appr. She can pick up the calls fine but when she tries to transfer the call the green light for that brdg-appr button just flashes and it won't allow her to finish the transfer process.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Eric Pell

You need to have multiple appearances of the bridged ext. If the secretary answers the phone from a bridged appearance she needs another open brdg-app to transfer that call. I suspect that she has only one line (of his bridge) on her phone. Which means she has no second line (from his phone) with which to transfer.

Long story short add a second or third brdg-appr of his phone on hers and you will be ok.

On page 2 of the station form set (auto select line appearence) to yes . When you do a transfer it will grab one of your line appearences to complete the call and save you adding more buttons of the other set to your phone .

As Dustan says, it is best to mirror all appearances of the bridged number. But, you can also transfer from the bridged apperance by doing the following:

Press "Transfer"
Press any idle line apperance on the telephone
Dial the number you wish to transfer to
Press "Transfer" a second time
