A problem that I have had on occasions is that when publishing a new version of my website via front page 2000, if it crashes for any reason, and I subsequently republish the text disappears from all of the navigation bars on the actual web site. The only way I seem to be able to sort this out is by changing a page or two, changing the theme for the whole web site and republishing. has anyone else seen this problem?

Check your publish options:sounds like it is set to publish changed pages only. If it crashes and you want to republish choose
file>publish web>publish all pages

This will re send all pages therefor publishing what was missed during the crash DeZiner

it is set to publish change pages only - to republish the whole web site (55 meg) is not practical - I just wondered whether anyone else had had the same thing happen

I've modified my page and when I publish it I get a server error message saying that certain files with a temp extension added (i.e. intex.htm.temp) cannot be closed and therefore it does not complete the publishing. I've tried recreating the page from scratch, but it won't get past that error meesage. What's up with that? Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried opening the web page online and looking at what's in the directory? FrontPage is supposed to delete old files, for instance, when it updates the site, but it doesn't always. I found folders that had long been deleted in the online directory. Select File>Open Web and type in the web address. Linda Adams
