Problems viewing http but fine viewing https!

Does anyone have any ideas why when trying to view some http sites, the browser takes an age trying to open the page and then eventually says that "The page cannot be displayed."

However when trying to connect to the secure site for the same company/website, that displays fine without any problems?

I find this very strange!

Can anyone please help?
 
Are you using ADSL service?
This sounds like an MTU issue.

. Check the appropriate MTU: . Set the router MTU as appropriate, likely 1492 for any DSL provider except AOL, 1400 for AOL;
. Set the client MTU for all clients running on each DrTCP and setting the correct value. A Reboot is required:
