problems using a parameter query

i need a bit of help as i am at a loss at trying to sort out this problem<br>i am using a query to form a report the query asks for the begin, end date and the shift it all works fine but there are too calualted fields in the query &quot;total Prod&quot; and &quot;total Scrap&quot; which are caluated form the &quot;weekly&quot; table but the problem is that the to calculated total are totaling the entire colum instead of the ones i want selected by the date and shift<br>i tried to set the parameter in the criteria but i am not allowed i keep getting an error message
 
i had a look at the site but it was a bit to general. it wasn't what i was looking for, but the site is fairly handy though. thanks
