Here is the scenario :
Slot 01 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot 02 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot 03 408 GS/LS-MLX
Slot 04 016 with ring gen.
Slot 05 408 GS/LS
Slot 06 016 with ring gen.
Slot 07 408 GS/LS-MLX
All remaining slots blank

Existing system is r4.1. We did a back up to file on the laptop. We then converted the file to r7 using WinSPM Release 8.0.
We swapped out the old processor with the new r7. When we attempt to do a restore from file, we now get the following:
"Error Board Mismatch (4)"

Any thoughts?

Did you preform a "Board Renumber"?
Anytime you swap out a board, this is required.

To start with, TOTALLY ERASE your "NEW" Processor. Then, do a BOARD RENUMBER with noting in it, and next, do your restore.

That should get it going.

Once you do that choose one of these methods to continue:

1) GO FOR IT and put in all modules and then do your board renumber.

- OR -

2) Install the cards (ONE AT A TIME) doing a board renumber after each

IF 1 doesn't work, try 2.
