I'm having problems with our edi translator. We just switched the translator to a windows 2000 machine, we are using STX-Dos. The problem is in batch mode, we can't translate 855 records. When we do it in manual mode it works. When we go back to using our stx-dos program on the dos machine it also works. any ideas?

I take it you are taking an inbound 850 and turning it around to an 855? I also take it you are using the TUR command in your UOP script? Or are you feeding a command script file to stx as you enter the program?

When you say it doesn't work...the TUR funciton - it doesn't create the 855 at all? Or does it create the 855 w/ an INCOMPLETE status and you have to manually set it to ready.

have you checked your application interface report? TO save a tree I'd recommend doing this.

Main menu STX
F8 (function 8)
This should bring up an update print/com parameter window.
Change report destination from LPT1 (or whatever it is) to
YYMMDD.UOP
where YYMMDD is year, month and date; and hit enter.

Option: 8
Option: 6
Say Y to print purge file.
ESC to main menu
F8
change report dest. back to LPT1

Now you'll have a text file called YYMMDD.UOP in your STX root directory. Does it say anything in there about the status of your UOP procedure?

I'm not sure if I've got any W2000 pc's I could try to re-create this on. My copy of STX has a 65 step UOP procedure - and it has some TUR commands in there - but they are run on W95 and Windows XP stations.

Well - post back what you can and I'll try to help further.
