InDesign is new to me. In the book I’m working on, I have added two pages in the middle of the book in which I dropped and dragged images from other pages. I want these to stay where they now are, but I can’t seem to get the pages threaded to the other pages. I have read about the in ports and out ports and have tried to follow the directions but to no avail. Also, I have been trying to get a blank page here and there deleted, but when I go to the Page Palette and delete the page it wants to delete the page next to it also. And since those pages are threaded even though the total number of pages show less, the blank page is still there. Sometimes when I try to delete a page it says the page contains objects – do I want to delete anyway? There isn’t anything in there that is visible. Can I delete anyway without messing up my book? Another problem – when I click on an image and drag it out to put it on another page, in some cases the text changes from single space to double or triple space. How can I keep this from happening? And I discovered the spell check, which is great, but why does sometimes the word have a box separating the syllables? Thank you to anyone that can help.
