Problems starting Java GUI on Win2k

I experience this problem on Win2k from time to time. When I start a Java-application I can see the prosess start and run in "Windows task manager" but the Java-GUI will not start. On some servers a reboot will fix the problem but on other servers I can't start it up at all. When this problem occur it's not possible to start any Java-GUI on that server.

Any thoughts?
