problems starting illustrator cs

Having currently installed all my adobe CS programs to my hardrive(mac OS 10.2.8), all seems fine but for ILLUSTRATOR. Illustrator cs will not load having been installed on numerous occasions. Im confused considering that all other packages load perfectly. If anyone has any suggestions on on trying to fix the problem please help. Thanks

Try going to User/Library/Preferences and trashing Adobe Illustrator settings.

Launch and see if you still have the problem. If yes, uninstall ILL,and trash its preferences, and open Font Book. Disable all fonts except Computer. Install Ill and see what happens. If ok, enable collections one at a time. If you have another font manager, you might try disabling that before installing Ill.

If still screwed up, try going to Library/Application Support/Adobe and dragging Fonts to a temporary folder on the desktop.

If you have any virus protection turn it off before installing.
