Hi all,
I am having problems stacking BES220-48T-PWR switches.
What I have done:
- checked if firmware of both are the same: OK
- Set switch 1 at the back to "base"
- Connected both switches from up-to down port and from down-to up port. In other words I created a loop. (according to the manual)
- Switch 1(base) IP= 192.168.2.10 and Stack IP=192.168.2.20
- Switch 2 :IP= 192.168.2.11 Stack IP=0.0.0.0
-restarted both switches, base first.
No luck. No base led at the front and no stack visible in either web-access or Element manager.

changed:
Settings of switch1 unchanged and assigned 192.168.2.20 to the stack IP address of switch2.
Reboot again => No luck.

changed:
Switch1: IP address = 192.168.2.10 Stack address= 0.0.0.0
Switch2: IP address = 192.168.2.11 Stack address= 192.168.2.10
Reboot => no luck.

In all cases the up and down leds at the front are green, but no "base" led is illuminated.

What an I doing wrong here?
Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Try factory defaulting both switches and booting them at the same time. When forming a stack they need to have clean configs.

Also try making switch 2 the base and booting. its possibly a fault with switch 1.
