Problems stacking baystacks

We have a redundant double star topology (two Passport 8600 as core and many 8100 and BST, using SMLTs and IST).
A few days ago, we added another node (three BST470 stacked) with SMLT to the core.
Because of the location of this new equipment, we have used it to extend the network in a distant building; we have connected it (the 3 BST stack) with three fiber links to three additional nodes (I mean, as if it were the core of a little star). So, now we have the stack linked with:
- two fibers to the double star network (by means of a SMLT)
- one fiber to another BST470 stack (four BST)
- one fiber to one BST450
- one fiber to another BST450
Since we have made these connections, the network is behaving in a strange way, is ther any relation?
I would like to know if this is a normal topology or if there is some limitations.
Thanks a lot

Sounds like convergence is funky. Could you provide a drawing ?

are you using trunks or are you waiting for the routing loops to discover themselves?
