Hi,
I have a home network set-up that consists of a desktop PC running Windows XP, a laptop running Windows 98 with a wireless PCI card, a SMC 4-port wireless router, and a DSL modem. The DSL modem is plugged in to the WAN port of the wireless router and my desktop is plugged into one of the available LAN ports. The laptop has a wireless PCI card.
Both the desktop and PC are sharing my DSL access fine, however, I can not share files between the desktop and laptop. I can ping the laptop IP from the desktop, but I can not ping the desktop IP from the laptop.
Both computers belong to the same workgroup and have the same default gateway settings. I can see the laptop in My Network Neighboor on the desktop, but I can not access the shared files on the laptop.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
