Morning, all,

Asking for a friend, as I have researched and can't pin it down.....

A friend has a SBS set up, and all is fine except when anyone in the company tries to send to one user. Six months ago, the user they are trying to send to changed domain names from olddomain.com to newdomain.com. Now, when the users send an email to user@newdomain.com, they get an NDR back from olddomain.com saying that the user does not exist. Now, the problem is that every single other email works, including two domains which went through registration changes. I thought it might be a DNS issue, but he states that all is well.....

any expert opinions?

Thanks,

Nik

On your mail server use nslookup to verify DNS lookup is getting the new IP instead of the old for the MX record.
