Hi all

I developed some reports in Crystal Reports 9, using stored procedures in Oracle 8.1.7 database. When I execute them in Crystal Reports, they work fine.

I published the reports without problems to Crystal Enterprise 9. When I try to view the report (run) I get an error message: Failed to load database info.

I'm using the Oracle Server option, in Report Wizard. I tried use ADO too, but did not work too.

Any help will be very apreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
Is the database properly defined in the CMC for that report?
Do other reports using that datasource work?
Is the Oracle client correctly installed on the CE server?

Hi,

The database is defined on CMC. I tried to fill other values too there, but did not get success.

I made some report tests: Reports using SQL Server works fine, but reports using Oracle server, don't. I have made connection tests on CE server, connecting to Oracle server, using TOAD, and worked fine. For this reason, I believe that is not a Oracle client problem.

Hi,
With those test results I believe you are correct - does not appear to be an Oracle client problem ( assuming that the page server runs as an account that has rights to
the Oracle binaries and 'knows about' Oracle Home)..
[ But, to be sure, try connecting to that source with SqlPlus , not just TOAD]
Try configuring a 'file system' ODBC DSN using the Oracle ODBC driver on the CE server..( The file system DSN will allow for a test - if it fails, then it may provide an Oracle error number which could help in diagnosing the underlying problem )
