I have an intermittent analogue phone problem. Occasionally when you try to place someone on hold you press the recall button, either nothing happens unless you press it several times, or the call seems to go on hold and then immediately drop back to the call. I have tried different handset with the same results.

Any ideas ?

Are you using 4.1(27) in the Phone modules??

Try downgrading them to 4.1(24). We have been told that there's a problem with the recall in (27).

We have had success with the downgrade to (24)

And make sure you have the timers set right on the extension

Soopa Doopa Intergalactic IP Office installation mechanic and configuration corruptor from way back.

A little correction:

It's only the Phone-modules that has to be downgraded!

Which timers are you thinking of, flash pulse width? and do I adjust them up or down?

We have exactly the same problem than you. This problem with the analog extensions end the 'R' button has appeared when Network Alchemy has stopped and IP Office has begun.
No problem with Network Alchemy Argent Phone.
Lot of 'holding' problem with analog IP Phone with any version.

If you have exemples of the way to correctly set the analog extension time and flash, it 'll be great...

Keep away from the cheap and nasty pots ,use interquartz.
If all fails ask the phone manufacturer for advise some can be set with different TBR timer.
