I am using the ITMU and cannot get it to grab the latest wsus.cab file. When installing ITMU I set it to download the latest cab from the web. I then tried setting it to run in unattended mode, with no luck. Today I tried changing the download.ini file to grab the file from a shared folder, i.e. \\server\PackageSrc. Still no luck...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Can you view the program properties for the sync program and paste what the command line reads? Here is what it should read:
syncxml.exe /s /site SMSSERVER /code AAA /package AC2000EF /target \\SMSSERVER\PackageSrc
Can you also paste what is in the download.ini?
