problems printing vector images

I've a wiring diagram (.wmf) embedded in a pagemaker publication which is then printed to the postscript printer and then distilled. The finished PDF looks on screen exactly how i expected however when this is printed, various lines on the diagram have disappeared. When i print to a diffrent printer, diffrent lines are missing. I've used many diffrent Image compression settings within distiller but this situation always occurs. The PDF looks fine but prints are un useable, does anyone know what i can try next??

(All latest versions and drivers)

I've now decided to import an AutoCAD drawing directly into the Pagemaker publication, this works very well, all problems solved.
