Problems opennig databases

Hello sirs. My problem is that from time to time when users want to open a database they receive a message saying that it cannot find a route to server. Then I have to configure again name server and IP address to solve the problem.

The question is why occurs this a how to solve it ?
 
you might want to create connection documents in their personal addressbooks using ip addresses if your clients are having name resolving issues Woonjas

especially since windows 2000 is in the habit of caching negative dns responses.

if the first query for a hostname fails (for instance because your local/caching dns takes too long in getting the address) you won't be able to connect to this machine for at least 15 minutes (I think), eventhough the address will resolve using nslookup for instance. There's a registry setting that disables this behaviour, check out for the specific key
