Problems on one extension

We have the 2000IVS system at my company. All the sudden one of the extensions is having problems. What happends when I pick up the phone there is no dial tone. I unplug the phone, wait a little bit, plug it back in and I get a dial tone but then after setting the phone back down the light for the extension stays on. The dial tone is gone.

Even with the phone unpluged when I call the extension it comes up as busy. I tried resetting the PBX. I tried different phones.

When I try to move the extension to a diff LEN, I get an error messeage saying it cannot be deleted.
 
It sounds like you have a headset button programmed on a button or there is a softkey in the display for a headset and it is turned on. This seems to be a common problem with end users pushing the headset softkey (in my case) causing the extension LED to light and they lift the handset but do not receive dial tone. Simply push the headset button softkey or button and you should be fixed.
