Hello - we have experienced a problem when trying to link the results of two queries from the same Universe. When two queries appear in the same report, BusinessObjects automatically links them on a common dimension. However, when we try to insert a new table and access the existing data in the document, highlighting an unlinked variable from one query causes the variables from the other query to be greyed out. Can anyone help with this?

Hi.
There is no solution for this. You can not create a report on the variables that are not linked.

To avoid this.
Since your universe is the same, select all the variable in one data provider.

If in case you have two universe, and you want to use these unverse for creating one report.
Then Link these universe at designer level, so that you can have only one data provider.
If you thing that linking universe will creat a RIGHT issue to the user. Then restrict these objects of universe according to user rights, after linking the universe.
