Hi Everyone, I seem to have run into some trouble installing Service Pack 3a.

While installing the first in the series of 3 packs I received the msg:
Title "MS SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services SP3"
msg: An error occurred during the move data process - 145.

Here is what I found in Knowledge: At first it stated that there was a problem with disk space. Since I have 6gb of free space I dismissed that option. Then it stated that Registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OLAP Server\Uninstall Info) must exist.

When I checked the Registry that key did not exist. MS provided instructions on how to add the key. I had to point the key to the path where I installed Analysis Server.

Well obviously I didn't install Analysis Server because I can't find it. Does anyone have any idea how do I install Analysis Server?

Thanks
Trudye

What it sounds like is you are running the wrong sp3a, there are two versions the olap and the database components only. The file name should be sql2ksp3.exe not sql2kasp3.exe
