Hi,
Hoping some one can help. Have looking through similar articles on site but no joy. Successfully installed office 2000 on server 2003 however when my roaming users log on and run word/excel/powerpoint it says "windows installer preparing to install" and then package run. Very irrating as message appears each time a document is opened. I also noticed that all users launch documents as licenced to administrator . Didn't have this problem on office 2000 on NT4.0 TSE ("no user" listed as administrator)
Event log details below:
Event ID: 11729
Description:
Product: Microsoft Office 2000 Standard -- Configuration failed.
AND ALSO
Event ID: 1004
Description:
Detection of product '{00020409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}', feature 'ExcelUserData', component '{8ADD2C96-C8B7-11D1-9C67-0000F81F1B38}' failed. The resource 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Excel\UserData' does not exist.
Please can someone assist?. When I installed Office 2003 (1 licence) didn't have any problem. i.e when each user logged on it had licensed to their username.
