HI, I'VE GOT A PROBLEM WITH MY NVIDIA GEFORCE FX 5200 3D GRAPHIC CARD, IM CURRENTLY USING AN AGP GENERIC GRAPHIC CARD WITH 32 MB VRAM, I HAVE A VIA CHIPSET WITH BUILT IN VIDEO, SOUND AND OTHER FEATURES, FOR THIS CARD THE BUILT IN VIDEO GETS OFF ONCE THE AGP SLOT IS BEING ON USE. WHEN I REPLACE THE OLD CARD FOR THE NEW GEFORCE IN THE SAME AGP SLOT ONCE I REBOOT I GET ONLY A BLACK SCREEN, NO BIPS, NO ACTIVITY I CAN ONLY HEAR A LITTLE HD SOUND, EVEN THE PROCESSORS FAN IS OFF, I DOUBLE CHECKED ALL THE BIOS SETTINGS AND INSTALLED ALL THE CHIPSET AND NVIDIA DRIVERS AT THIS POINT I DONT KNOW WHAT COULD IT BE THE CAUSE. HOPE YOU CAN HELP WITH THIS.

GILL

Most likely you are trying to run incompatible card on too old a system...newer cards need a 1.5 volt agp slot. yours is older agp 2.0 so has 3.3 volt...So it won't work...sorry.

THANKS, SO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY MOTHERBOARD, IS THAT WHAT YOU MEAN? BECAUSE I WAS THINKING IN BUYING A NEW INTEL MAINBOARD, I WAS THINKING THAT MIGHT BE THE MAIN CAUSE OF ALL THIS MESS, HAVING AND OLD OR CHEAP SYSTEM MAINBOARD.

GILL

P.S. WHAT MAINBOARD WOULD YOU SUGGEST?

Intel makes a very stable board but no overclocking, and only middle of the road specs....I personally like Asus, and Gigabyte...but that is me...And in a forum like this might as well ask what type of car someone likes. :)
