Hey.. sorry if this question's stupid but I'm having problems installing adobe acrobat reader. I followed the instructions first by extracting the .gz file. Then typed: ./INSTALL

But for some reason I'm getting this:

"ERROR: No configurations found... aborting."

I'm still a newbie and trying to migrate over to linux from windows so I'm trying to get myself accustomed to installing stuff.. familiarizing with directories.. etc. :)

Thanks.

Sounds kinda strange, as if there was a bug in the script.

I have Adobe Acro-reader installed on my Linux box (just to see if non-suid could induce an error).

If you have it, I want you to md5sum the file. Here's my file's sum.

2bb26e2e2f25cefe4ba336ba3309ab7d linux-ar-405.tar.gz

If all else fails, re-download the file, or use GV.

Thanks for the reply krale.. I'll check out the sum of your file with mine tonight.

:)
