Hi!

I´m having some problems when i try to start OpenView.
When i type ovw command line the system shows the following error message: "I am not OPENBASE user.it ends". When i click "ok" the window closes. I´m new in using OpenView so i´d be pleased if someone could give me some explanations.
OpenView is running on Solaris 2.6 in a Sun Entreprise 250 Server.

Never heard of that one! Do you have any other apps installed on this server? Especially any called OPENBASE? When you run #env and #set from the command line, what is the output? Is there a listing in there for OPENBASE?

Filardi,

What user are you logged in as when you see this problem? Mike

Some more information:

1) when i have this problem i´m logged as user (not root).
2) when i´m logged as root i don´t even can run the program.
3) OPENBASE is registered as NEC OPENBASE 5.1 - its site is the "NEC" is just because NEC installed it here.
4) i started having this problems when some IP addresses were changed. I believe it´s causing this behavior.
