I'm trying to configure the InoculateIT distribution schema in a workstation with Windows NT Workstation SO to get the newest signature update in a Server network.

When I select the workstation name in the Domains/Servers panel in Service Manager Window and press the configure the InoculateIT distribution subsystem button at menu bar, I'm getting the following message:

------------------------------
Service.DLL
the Network´s name not found
------------------------------

And I can't update automatically the signature file in the workstation by the distribution subsystem.

------------------------------------------------------------

Server Version: InoculateIT - Workgroup Edition -
Server
Current Version 4.53
Build number 619

Workstation Version: InoculateIT - Client Agent
Current Version 4.53
Build number 627

============================================================
What's happening?

Could you Help me?

have exactly the same error, w2k servers patched to the eyeballs, inoculateIT 4.53, service.dll error in distribution manager.

any fixes/ideas?

Hi ralphyt,

My problem was solved. I suggest that you perform the following steps.

1) Start in the workstation the Workstation and Server Services,

2) Confirm that C:\Winnt in the workstation are Shared like
admin$ (Administrative Share). If it isn't you must do it.

I hope that would be possible you configure the distribution subsystem at your workstation after this.

bye.
