problems importing triggers

Hi all

I'm a developer who's been lumped with dba tasks!! when importing a file an error consistently seems to be occuring.

Some of the triggers fail to be imported. I've looked at the ddl and they appear to be old definitions for the triggers. What I don't understand is why this is happening. An example is that a trigger in the orginal db was changed as a table name changed, but the sql in the error is for the old table.

What am I doing wrong?

It's an export/import by user on oracle 8i.

Everything else seems ok.

I've experienced this before when loading redefined triggers that have the same name but relate to different tables in the instance. I had to drop the old trigger first as the 'create or replace trigger' statement wouldn't work for me if the table name has changed.
