Hi,

I've Oracle 9i installed on a HP-UX server.
I also have an application on the same server that utilises the Oracle database.

This system has only recently been configured but lately I'm finding that I seem to have problems connecting to Oracle. For example I had all aspects of the application running (about 10) and tried to connect to my DB via TOAD. When I tried I got a TNSListner error. I shutdown two aspects of the application and tried again and this time was able to connect via TOAD. When I tried to start up the two items they both failed with an error just saying "Oracle Error". I shutdown the session in TOAD and tried again and this time could start the two parts of the application.

It appears to me that I am hitting some limit but do not know what this is.

Has anyone seen this before and can you please advise on how I can fix.

Thanks,

Tom
