hiya all

if I set up a report to use a database other than our usual one (CorpDB) when I try to view the report through a browser it asks me for a username and password to log onto the database. I've checked the data connections on my computer and both CorpDB and the other DB are set up identically. Does anyone know what might be causing the report to promt for a username and password? Or even what its likely to be a problem with so that I can investigate

Thanks

Please supply version information for Crystal and the database, and how you're invoking the report in a browser.

Some common reasons for your problem are user permissions, or the connection in the report has the database embedded so it is still trying to hit the db it was designed for. Check Set Location and delete the database name referenced before the table name.
