Problems connecting desktop to laptop

Hi All

I have recently installed a Belkin Wireless Network Card and installed it sucessfully on my desktop. My desktop in conncect via a DSL modem to the internet.I set up the wirelss connection to share the internet connection.

I also have a laptop with Centrino technology and can successfully detect the wireless network card. However I have been unable to access the internet on my laptop. I have tried to ping the desktop from the laptop (and vice versa) but with no success.

Any ideas?
