Last week I have tried to configure the SMDR6 box on several Norstar KSUs, but without any success. The KSUs varied from a Norstar Compact DR5 to a Norstar MICS 4.1.
To be sure that I'm not doing anything differently I also brought a SMDR5 box to the installation sites.
After connecting the SMDR5 box to a digital extension, I entered feature 9*2 on the M7200 station and immediately got the SMDR administration menu on the display.
But when following exactly the same process with the SMDR6 box, I get the message "Inactive feature" on the display.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrond with the SMDR6 box? Does the configuration process for a SMDR6 box differ from that of a SMDR5 box? And if so, what is the difference?
