Problems compiling module with apxs. Help

Hi,
I tried compiling a module to work with apache using apxs, only problem is I get an error before it has successfully built it. How do I solve this?

$./apxs -c -lpam -ldl -i -a mod_auth_pam.c

This is what I get:

cc -DSOLARIS2=260 -DUSE_EXPAT -I../lib/expat-lite -DNO_DL_NEEDED -I/usr/local/a
pache/include -c mod_auth_pam.c
-o mod_auth_pam.so mod_auth_pam.o -lpam -ldl
apxs:Break: Command failed with rc=255
