Problems Backing Up Mailboxes

I have a Windows 2000 server with Exchange 2000 and Arcserve Backup Agent for Exchange 2000 with SP3 and the QO06202.CAZ patch installed. I'm having problems backing up at the brick level. It starts backing up some of the mailboxes and then report a E8602 error (Failed to read from the database....) followed by a E8604 error (Failed to start backup...EC=remote procedure call). During these errors on my Arcserve logs, my mail server crashes with the E6008 error (unexpected shutdown). Any ideas what i should do? I will reapply SP3 and the patch and try again. Also, the dbaexch2.log have this error (ReadReference: Warning! not enough space in cacheBuffer for 64K data, The rest part will be read later).
Any ideas will help a lot. Thanks
