I'm a little new at Domino, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I have a fresh install of Domino 6 on a fresh install of Windows Server 2003 Small Business. After much struggle I do seem to have things set up more or less correctly, as I have a couple of user accounts and can send mail via SMTP. The problem occurs when I try to check mail via POP3. The user is never able to log on and I always get the following message:

POP3 Server: Authentication failure for <username>, connecting host <host>: Password not found in the Name and Address Book entry or password did not verify

I definitely have an account for the user and I'm certain I am using the right password. Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Alex

Alex:

Did you set the Internet password? This is what the POP3 client will validate against.
