I am running Oracle reports and the output files are stored to a folder (/var/opt/abcd/bin/). It works just fine.

I changed the destination folder to /var/opt/abcd/work/portal/ and it fails.

/bin, /work/, /portal all have 777 permissions.

Any ideas why it would fail writing to a specific folder? The error I get is a Oracle report error.

thanks

what's the Oracle error number? are you sure the directory path is specified correctly in your report job? Have you tested writing an ordinary file to the directory?
