Hi !

We initiated V.24 port as MML port and connected computer directly. It works when using it for sending MML commands by WinFiol, to PABX.

BUT, when we try to use XMODEM option to transfer a file from HDU to a connected computer, it won’t work !

We do the same procedure like over modem port :

First command FICPI, then it shows “ready for transmission” ,
then Run ---> X modem ---> we choose Receive , name and place for the file and Open.

Then , window opens, BUT unlike over modem port , in this window it shows “time” instead of “blocks” ... and after parameter “time” reaches the value 60 it shows ‘time out”
and so we can’t do anything ...

If you have any ideas what to check on this problem, please write !

Thanks

what MD110 command do you use to receive the file??

Well, only what I wrote above ...

FICPI:SPATH=/SYSN/USR1/ACS/CIL/filename,IODEV=SYSTERMINAL2;

and then after ready for transmission ,in WinFiol, Run --> X-modem -->

Do I need some other command ?

It's BC12 in question.

Sorry ! Silly us !

We just saw we didn't type that ... we typed FICPI with IODEV and PATH parameters instead ...

Our mistake. Now it works !

I suspected that was the problem [spin]

HI Pabxer
Could you please type the whole commands, because I try this method through the modem but it does not work with me?

May be it does not work though modem connection "speed=1200" or may be I typed the wronge parameter!

thanks in advance.

Regards

the first thing you should do in my opinion is to put your iodev in xmodem mode by
IOIFC:IODEV=SYSTERMINAL2,PROC=XMODEM;
then do
FICPI:SPATH=/SYSN/USR1/ACS/CIL/filename,IODEV=SYSTERMINAL2;
then trnasfer your file and then put things back to normal with
IOIFC:IODEV=SYSTERMINAL2,PROC=ECHO;

let me know if this works

2whosrdaddy : yes, you suspected on the right thing :)

2md110user :

Well, I do the same procedure I wrote above over modem port too.

Maybe you should first check with FIDAP did you write the name of the file correctly ( it goes without file type mark )

Is your modem port not working only for file transfer over Xmodem ? Can you use it for sending MML commands ??

Do you get the answer "ready for transmission" from the pabx after FICPI ?

Regarding speed, our modem in PC is set on 115 200 bps and it works even with such setting ...
Maybe you should check in Channel properties ==> Protocol ==> Dial mode
Did you choose Direct option there ? Because I know it didn’t work to us at all when we chose Call through or Callback ...

2rene2716 : V.24 port with computer directly connected on it doesn’t have to have parameter PROC set on XMODEM in order to transfer file from hdu to computer by XMODEM option.
It doesn’t sound logical , don’t know why, but it is so.

Our V.24 port has PROC set on ECHO and file transfer by XMODEM option works.
